Fractals Class

Julia Set

To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour

(William Blake, Auguries of Innocence)

During this class, we will use computers to explore fractals --- intricate designs that are generated using algebraic formulas.

About the Program: During the first hour of each session, we will practice and learn pre-algebra and algebra skills while exploring fractals in small groups. During the second hour, students can get help with homework for school and practice basic skills.

Cost: Free!

Who: This class is designed for middle school, high school, and college students who want to strengthen their algebra and pre-calculus skills while learning about an interesting area of mathematics.
