Math Circle Institute

Each summer, we co-organize a week-long workshop for mathematicians and teachers from around the country who are interested in leading math enrichment programs. Bob and Ellen Kaplan of the Boston Math Circle demonstrate a collegial approach to teaching that involves children in the exploration of deep mathematical ideas. The Math Circle website has additional information about the Boston Math Circle program.

Several local teachers join us each summer. In the afternoon, children of all ages join Math Circles led by adult participants.

The 2010 Math Circle Institute will be held on the campus of Notre Dame from July 4th through the 10th.

Applications can be made by e-mail to kaplan@math.harvard.edu

Local teachers may contact Amanda Serenevy for more information about participating.
