The Office of Campus Diversity promotes access by underrepresented students, faculty, staff, and community members to resources and support that will help them achieve their goals. The Office of Campus Diversity sponsors a variety of events open to the community that promote understanding among people of different backgrounds.
Charlotte Pfeifer, the director of Campus Diversity, serves as a member of our Board of Directors and has helped the Riverbend Community Math Center to connect with a variety of community organizations and programs.
The Office of Campus Diversity is currently organizing a series of conferences and events relating to improving math and science education in our community. In April 2008, they organized a Next Steps in Science and Mathematics Conference to start a community-wide conversation on science and math education in our community. They plan to continue this conference on an annual basis.
