The Riverbend Community Math Center is working with teachers and administrators in the School City of Mishawaka to identify ways of improving math instruction at the upper elementary and middle school levels. The Riverbend Community Math Center provides professional development sessions for teachers, models instructional strategies in classrooms, presents fun math activities, and mentors teachers on an individual basis. During the 2009-2010 academic year, the Riverbend Community Math Center is working intensively with high ability math teachers at all elementary schools and John Young Middle School.
