Alliance of Indigenous Math Circles
The Alliance of Indigenous Math Circles supports the spread of Math Circles and other math outreach programs to indigenous students and teachers around the country and in other countries.
Riverbend Community Math Center has been a partner the Alliance of Indigeneous Math Circles since its inception in 2016. Since that time, we have assisted AIMC by leading sessions in summer math camps for students and in workshops for teachers. Amanda traveled to Mexico City during October of 2017 to lead Math Circle sessions at an all-day outdoor math festival as well as a series of sessions as part of a national math conference at UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México).
