Math Teachers' Circle Network

Logo

The American Institute of Mathematics in Palo Alto, California has sponsored several workshops to teach teams from around the country to lead Teachers' Circles. A teachers' circle is a group of teachers and mathematicians who meet together to cultivate enthusiasm for problem solving. The Riverbend Community Math Center led a team of teachers and mathematicians from the South Bend area to participate in a week-long workshop during the summer of 2007. The Riverbend Community Math Center assisted with two Teachers' Circles involving middle school teachers from the South Bend Community School Corporation during 2007 and 2008.

The Riverbend Community Math Center is a member of the Math Teachers' Circle Network, and we continue to lead invited sessions for Math Teachers' Circles around the country including in Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, and New Mexico.
