During a full-day professional development workshop, Cheryl Nix presented a Quilt Fractions unit that builds conceptual understanding of fractions. This unit will be used across the curriculum at Dickinson Fine Arts Academy during the 2012-2013 academic year. In September, she visited classes to model lessons from this workshop.
